This is a pretty big news story where people either got very rich or lost a lot of money in the stock market. This guy is basically using this video message to proclaim his innocence. Can't get much more important than that, I'd think.
So with a message this important, why would you not spend a few bucks and get a teleprompter to help your eyeline and message look more sincere and less like you're reading from a script off to the side??
I'd argue that constantly looking off-camera and away from the camera (your audience) makes one look insincere and that they might be hiding something. Teleprompting is the answer! The higher the stakes, the more important it is to do it right!
That's my 2 cents worth... that I didn't invest in WallStreetBets! 🙃
