Cuteness Alert! 🐶
Happy to run the prompter for Ben Mulroney in this PSA supporting the CNIB guide dogs.
Can't get much cuter than that!!
Wireless iPad Prompting!
First gig using the wireless iPad! The trick here is we're wirelessly sending the LAPTOP signal to the iPad. Benefits of this are:
1) We're still able to use our professional software and DON'T have to use a cheap iPad app.
2) We can make changes remotely away from the camera position
3) Very quick setup and repositioning!
Use this solution any time wires are a problem (jib, dolly, handheld shoots)
Wireless prompting for Deepa!
Lots of fun prompting for media personality and entertainment reporter Deepa Prashad!
We spent the day shooting THROUGHOUT the Coca-Cola Coliseum. The wireless system was ideal for all the quick repos and multiple setups!
2-Camera Studio Shoot
Nice shot showing the 17" high-bright freestanding (foreground) and the 15" high-bright mounted on a tripod (background).
This was for a live, virtual show for an energy company.
Livestream at The Royal York

This was an interview and you couldn't tell they were reading their answers from a prompter!
Outdoor Sunnybrook Shoot
No available power was no problem on this outdoor shoot at Sunnybrook Health Sciences. I brought our portable power pack that's available with the "Off-Grid" power option. The 550Wh lithium ion battery lasts a full day shoot, and then some!
Camera was a Sony FX9.
Grocery store virtual show
Quick shot of my workstation for several weeks in September. This shows the main and backup computers that ran out to a live-to-tape show for a major grocery chain.
You might notice Timmies coffee in several shots throughout my website. Love my coffee! ☕❤
When The Mayor Calls... You Answer!
Got the call very last minute to prompt for His Worship John Tory, Mayor of Toronto! He was announcing "Toronto Vaccine Day" where ScotiaBank Arena will become a pop-up clinic with 10,000 doses available to fight COVID-19!
As we were outdoors, there was no available power. So I supplied my own with our 550Wh powerbox that's good for up to 10 hours of independent power!
Outdoors Anyone?
We were on a rooftop deck for this job earlier this year. Don't even attempt outdoor teleprompting with a standard lcd monitor (300 NITS). You need a high-brightness monitor (1000+ NITS) to battle the sun... and flags too if they're handy! 😉
*NEW* Wireless Teleprompting Now Available!
This new wireless solution transmits 1080p60 signal from the laptop to a receiver/monitor AND several other mobile devices at the same time. It's rated up to 400 feet line of sight and can be used anywhere that running cables would be an issue. Ask about wireless video for your next production!
🚨Last Min Emergency Shoot!
Was called same-day to prompt for a virtual meeting. This shot shows just how bright the 17" high-bright monitor is... Easy to read up to 25 feet away! Pro gear is worth it.

Staying Safe On Set
We're very fortunate to be able to continue working through the latest lockdown. All of the sets I've been on have been great about taking proper precautions (masks, distancing etc.)
Here's hoping we're at the tail end of this and life gets back to normal ASAP! Btw on this shoot we were faking an interview with the 15" freestanding beside the camera.
Amazing Shoot (Obvious-ly)
One thing I love about what I do is that I never know who I'll meet or be prompting for next. Working with Captain Obvious (a.k.a. Brandon) was indeed a highlight!!

Camera was a Canon C300 and the 12"high-bright prompter was used.
Faking the Eyelines
Sometimes the scripts are too long or the content is too specific for actors to memorize everything. For these situations, we can "fake the eyelines" by placing a monitor/prompter over each of their shoulders.
They just read their lines and with proper camera placement, you'd never know they weren't actually looking at each other!
David Suchet as Poirot
PBS called last minute because they were doing a documentary on the long running Agatha Christie series, Poirot.
Mr. Suchet was kind enough to pose with the crew for a few pictures... I'm the guy with the moustache!
17" display did the trick on this one.
Go Leafs Go!!!
Not a huge selfie-guy, but I couldn't resist on this shoot! This was an Interrotron setup in the Leafs' dressing room.
